Since 1930, when the first two Evans Scholars enrolled at Northwestern University, more than 11,815 outstanding young men and women have graduated from college as Evans Scholars.
Evans Scholars are selected on the basis of strong caddie record, excellent grades, outstanding character and demonstrated financial need. To be eligible for the program, caddies must have worked a minimum of two years at a golf course and be recommended by their head golf professional.
The program is supported by the Western Golf Association (WGA) and its member clubs, and is funded by contributions from more than 27,000 individuals, corporations and foundations.
